As i used to think of instrumental music my head instantly drifted for the boring music that's played in elevators, markets and in hotel lobbies. The fact is it can be in the same way moving without lyrics as some songs which may have lyrics. In the 1700-1800's Classic instrumental music was the most popular style of music with artists like Mozart and Joseph Haydn topping the "charts". Having it . even less than an ear would not claim that Mozart was boring! Issues never taken time for it to stop and smell the roses listening to Mozart's Andante, Adagio, or Rondo compositions that you are surely missing out on our world's most precious gifts.

My next category is Jazz instrumental music. It started out many different genre's to get the achievements today. With its gentle rock and funk rhythms it's simple to realise why from the 1970's it was a favorite to a lot of. "So What" by Miles Davis and John Coltrane's "My Favorite Things" are simply a handful of my top picks. Both of them are very beautiful jazz instrumental pieces. A lot of you readers know "My Favorite Things" through the movie, "The Sound Of Music." Even though this is a fantastic vocal song, as being a Jazz compilation it can be made better in my own opinion.

Now onto one of the best instrumental category: Rock instrumental music. For me, there's two completely different types of Rock instrumental categories. First there was the early music in the 60's and 70's. These bands usually featured organs, saxophones, pianos and several guitar. Many of the most famous bands/artists because of this time were The Ventures "Walk-Don't Run", The Allman Brothers Band "Jessica", and let's not forget Booker T and also the MGs "Green Onions". The next type came later from the 80's. This is when the many "big hair" bands were dominating the charts and a lot of solo guitarists began to emerge. Steve Vai "For The romance Of God", Stevie Ray Vaughn "Little Wing" and Jason Becker "Perpetual Burn" are among the most popular guitarists and songs. In case you have never heard these guitarists you should seriously look them up.

That is it. Just three there are lots of types of instrumental music to chose from. These are just our favorites i we do hope you enjoyed reading about them. Dating back classical music and till today instrumental music has become playing somewhere and i also haven't any need to believe it will likely be snuffed out soon. Until the next occasion...
